Sorghum ‘Stew’, Dry Land Bamboo – & Spatial Analysis in the Gum Arabic Belt of Sudan

Our work in the Blue Nile region was just to the Northwest of ‘Athiopien’ , on the Sudanese side of the border. In western Sudan we found arid-land bamboo south of El Obeid (southwest of Khartoum); Jebel al-Dayr is located at the brown spot in the middle of the map that indicates an altitude of 1460 meters, it is marked by a blue arrow.
