Ancient Egypt & a Maple Leaf

Over the past few years we have heard many stories on looting in Egypt as several important sites have been pillaged in the background of the current political situation and climate there. Last year I wrote on the sad happenings at the site of El Hibeh, where systematic looting did grave damage to the site. On Facebook, several images of the state of the site circulated and had me realize, how serious this problem is. Now, another such story is spreading through Facebook and the Egyptological world. At the site of Dahshur, a very important site in the Old Kingdom, such systematic looting is happening once more.
